The dog today walks and runs, sometimes even jumps, even if you can’t explain him, that he shouldn’t. He plays with the ball again and has even started rolling in the grass.He has weak tendons and ligaments, because he has hypothyroidism, and unfortunately this is how it works. But apart from that, he has energy, appetite, willingness to play, if his knee disturbed him, he would not want to run, instead he is the first, despite the fact that his conditions are already weaker and walks are shorter, he needs more sleep. Age does its job. And unfortunately the 7.5 year old dog is already old. Few larger dogs explode with energy, and he does it.

Going back to the topic, I was ready for CORMAK surgery, I did all the tests for him, but it got very hot and I decided to wait, because in orthopedic operations, any heat has a bad effect on healing. Besides, he would have been out of his mind all summer because he loves walking so much. I don’t have stairs at home, I have a forest all around, because I live in a forest guard house, so after talking to the doctor I postponed my appointment, in the meantime I was getting ProArtLeg and the improvement was so significant that I gave up to surgery.If he was unable to walk, my decision would probably be different, but he does. Knee surgery is very serious, perhaps if he was a young dog, he would have been 3 years old, but he was almost 7 years old.Deep anesthesia, interference with the bone, nobody gave me the full guarantee that everything would be fine without complications, that the body will not reject the plaque because it should be inserted, that the other leg would not suffer heavily. I decided to prefer an orthosis if necessary. If it were something life-saving, it would be different. In addition, last year he had a castration for medical reasons: testicular cancer. The testicles removed, the scrotum and a piece of tissue around the scrotum probably had 15 points, this would have been the second operation, this time second deep anesthesia in 4 months, I feared. I didn’t know if I did the right thing. If it would be seriously combined with great pain. God forbids him to be alive at 14, but looking at what was going on, I didn’t want to take a few months out of his life.
